Google Tag Manager

If your site already loads GTM, add Lumenlytic as a Custom HTML tag — no template changes needed.

Create the tag

In your GTM container, choose Tags → New and pick Custom HTML. Paste the snippet:

<script defer src="http://localhost:3000/analytics.js" data-website-id="YOUR_TRACKING_ID"></script>

Set the trigger

Under Triggering, choose All Pages. Save the tag, then publish the container.

Consent

If you gate GTM behind a consent banner, Lumenlytic only starts tracking once GTM fires the tag. That is expected — and consistent with the cookie-free, privacy-first design.

Track custom events

Call the global function from your site's own JavaScript, or from another Custom HTML tag that fires after the install tag:

lumen("Signup", { plan: "pro" });

Verify

Open the GTM preview, load your site, and confirm the tag fires. Then check the site's real-time view in your dashboard. If nothing shows up, see Troubleshooting.
